Woven offers a range of suit hire packages with that extra special touch. Our award-winning tailors, based in Durham, offer custom-fitting suit hire for any occasion including black tie, white tie, prom suit hire, funerals, interviews and matching children's suit hire for weddings and events. Our personalised experience will include our professional measurements and tailoring services as well as accidental damage insurance.

Suit Hire FAQs

What is the hire process?

6-9 months prior to your event, at your consultation, will confirm the date your hire is required and take your measurements.

We will organise a measurements appointment if you have a large party. This takes approximately 15 minutes per person.

A few weeks prior to your event, we will arrange a final fittings appointment where you and your party can try on your suits. This will take approximately 1 hour.

Any alterations will be carried out in-house and your suit hire will be available to collect approximately 2 weeks before your event date. 

When do I pay for my hire suits?

A minimum 50% deposit of the hire total is taken at your first consultation. The remainder is then due at your final fitting appointment, or on your pick up date. 

When should I book a consultation?

Where possible, 6-9 months prior to your wedding. You will be assigned a tailor who will take care of you throughout the whole process. If you have less time to prepare, that shouldn't be a problem. However, get in touch to make sure we can make it work for you if you don't have very long!

When will I pick up my suits before the wedding?

Any alterations will be carried out in-house after your fitting appointments and your wedding suits will be available to collect approximately 1-2 weeks before your event. We ask that all suits are collected together.

What is accidental damage insurance?

This covers all hire suits from incurring any extra charges with those inevitable food and drink stains or other small damages.

We encourage customers with damaged suits to bring them into the store so we can assess the problem and see if it can be fixed without incurring any extra costs.

Please note, every suit is assessed on a case by case basis and at the discretion of management. Costs will be incurred for hire suits that are not returned, have irreparable or severe damage, missing items or are soiled and require disposal. 

Can I get children's and womens suits?

Children's suits are available as a hire option only. Size ranges from 1-12 years (Price is reflective of suit size, not child's age). Please see selected starred styles in the downloadable suit hire catalogue. 

Please note: You do not need to be hiring your fully wedding party outfits in order to use the children's hire service.

Unfortunately, due to tailoring and the nature of the hiring process, we would be unable to offer suit hire for women. However, Buy and Bespoke options are available.
